App Configuration
Customizing the web apps available in your OneMoreBrain overlay.
App Configuration #
One of OneMoreBrain's most powerful features is its ability to embed web applications directly into a secure, hidden overlay. Before using the desktop client, you should configure which apps you want to access.
The App Catalog #
The Catalog (accessible from your web dashboard) contains a list of predefined, optimized web apps. These typically include popular AI chat interfaces, documentation sites, and productivity tools.
Adding an App from the Catalog #
- Go to the Catalog tab in your web dashboard.
- Browse the available categories.
- Click on an app to view its details.
- Add the app to your account. (Some premium apps may require a one-time purchase or subscription via your Cart).
Managing Your Active Apps #
Once you have added apps to your account, you can manage them from your Dashboard.
- Active Apps: The apps listed in your active configuration appear in the sidebar and top tab strip.
- Default Apps: Apps marked as default open automatically after login. Other apps are listed but remain closed until you click Open.
- Open and Close: Click Open or Close beside an app in the sidebar. Closing the active app switches to another open app when one is available.
- Syncing: Click Sync Tabs in the sidebar after changing the dashboard configuration. The client refreshes the app list and credit balance without requiring a restart. Newly opened default apps are initialized after the sync.
Custom Web Apps #
In additiono predefined catalog, you may have the option to add Custom Web Apps (depending on your account tier).
- Custom apps allow you to input any URL.
- OneMoreBrain opens the address inside the built-in browser. Some websites may not work correctly. Some addresses may be restricted to their assigned app tab.
Not all websites are compatible with the built-in browser. Pop-up windows, default context menus, and developer tools may be disabled.
Embedded Browser Behavior #
Each app opens in a built-in browser tab. Its cookies and browsing data are separate from your normal Chrome, Edge, or Firefox windows. Pop-ups, developer tools, and the default context menu may be disabled, so a site that depends on those features may not work correctly.
