Window Management

Managing the OneMoreBrain window for maximum stealth and convenience.

Window Management #

OneMoreBrain acts as a floating overlay on your desktop. Because it is designed to operate alongside other applications (such as exam browsers or interview platforms), mastering window management is crucial.

Moving and Resizing #

  • Dragging: Click and hold anywhere on the Top Bar (Header) to drag the window across your screen.
  • Resizing: Hover over any edge or corner of the window until the resize cursor appears. Click and drag to resize the viewport to your liking. The sidebar remains a fixed width.

Toggling Visibility #

The most important feature of the window is its ability to instantly vanish.

  • Toggle Window Hotkey (Ctrl + Shift + W): Pressing this shortcut will instantly hide the OneMoreBrain window from your screen.
  • Pressing it again restores the saved rectangle when it is still valid. If the saved dimensions are invalid, the client falls back to a centered 1020x800 window.
  • Behavior: The client moves the window to an off-screen coordinate while keeping the process and session running. Its tool-window style is intended to keep it out of the normal taskbar and Alt+Tab lists.

Compact Layout #

The current shell does not expose a separate mini-mode control. Use the sidebar toggle in the top bar to collapse the sidebar, or resize the window using its edges and corners. Collapsing the sidebar does not close the active app.

Screen Capture Limitations #

Windows provides a setting that asks supported capture tools to leave the window out of screenshots and recordings.

  • The request may be honored, ignored, or overridden depending on Windows and the capture tool. Some recording, sharing, monitoring, or administrative tools may still show the window.
