Customization & Settings

Tailoring OneMoreBrain to fit your exact workflow and environment.

Customization & Settings #

OneMoreBrain is built with flexibility in mind. Because it is used in highly sensitive and restricted environments, no two users will have the exact same setup. The Settings Menu provides powerful tools to help you blend the application into your unique desktop environment and tune it to match your personal workflow speed.

Accessing Controls #

  1. Ensure the OneMoreBrain window is currently visible on your screen. If it is hidden, press your Toggle Window Hotkey (Ctrl + Shift + W).
  2. Use the Opacity slider in the top bar when opacity access is enabled.
  3. Use the Typing Delay (ms) slider in the left sidebar when autotype access is enabled.
  4. Changes are applied immediately; the desktop shell has no separate Save button for these controls.

1. Adjusting Opacity (Transparency) #

To maximize stealth, especially when physical observation is a concern, you might want to make the window semi-transparent. This allows you to see through OneMoreBrain to the applications running underneath it.

  • Location: Use the Opacity slider in the top bar.
  • 100% (Solid): The window is completely opaque.
    • Best used for: When you are actively reading long blocks of text, watching a video, or when you are certain no one can see your physical monitor. It provides the highest contrast and readability.
  • 10% - 90% (Transparent): The window becomes partly transparent. Use a level that remains readable on your screen.
  • The slider accepts values from 10% through 100% and changes the native client window immediately.

2. Typing Delay #

Human Paste (Ctrl + Shift + P) sends software-generated keyboard-style input. Different applications may process it at different speeds.

  • The Problem: If OneMoreBrain types too fast, the target application might drop characters, resulting in typos or incomplete code blocks. If it types too slow, you waste valuable time during a timed session.
  • Location: Use the Typing Delay (ms) slider in the left sidebar.
  • How to Adjust: This setting controls the base delay, from 1 to 150 milliseconds, between typed characters.
    • A lower number = Faster typing.
    • A higher number = Slower typing.
  • Testing Your Speed: We strongly recommend testing your chosen speed before a critical event. Open a blank Notepad document, copy a large paragraph of text, and press Ctrl + Shift + P. Watch how it types. If it stutters or drops letters, increase the delay slightly.

3. Sidebar and Window Layout #

Click the sidebar button in the top bar to collapse or restore the sidebar. Resize the window by dragging its edges or corners. These layout changes do not close apps or end the session.

  • The current shell does not provide accent customization or a separate compact-mode preference.
  • What is Mini-Mode?: It collapses the sidebar and strips away top-bar elements, shrinking the window down to just the essential input/output area.
  • Restoring: Exiting mini-mode restores your previous window dimensions perfectly, allowing you to quickly check tabs and then shrink back down to a minimal footprint.

Current Client Limitations #

The sidebar toggle collapses the sidebar but does not close apps or end the session. Opacity and autotype controls are subscription-gated and may be absent for accounts without those entitlements.
